Ouarzazate, Morocco, 2014
Atlas Film Studios, an eerie place, where old epic movie sets, worn by wind and sand, sit abandoned in the middle of the desert. Egyptian temples, giant monuments, faded facades hide the forests of wooden scaffolding that support their inner emptiness. So reminiscent of our own western civilization – these decaying remnants of glorious blockbusters. Delusions of grandeur continue to dominate our collective psyche.
